I’ve recently developed my photos from my trip to Grace Bay Place in the Turks & Caicos. As I was reflecting on my trip, I felt so lucky that I had stumbled on what I consider to be one of the world’s best kept secrets. Staying at Grace Bay Place was one of the best travel decisions I’ve made in a long time. Not only was the condo affordable and extremely close to magnificent Grace Bay beach, the personal touch could not be beat. From the moment he picked us up at the airport in Providenciales, Doug and his family did everything in their power to make sure that our stay in Turks ’ Caicos was memorable. They brought us to the grocery store, lent us a grill, and even gave us their ketchup. Their warmth made us feel like we were staying with old friends. They even took us on a tour of Providenciales in their car and offered to take us out in their boat. Staying in their condo, I felt much more a part of the community and less like a tourist. They told us all of the local spots that were popular, and their perspective enhanced my traveling experience. I felt like I was able to really gain an understanding of the culture of the Turks & Caicos and to be immersed in it. As much as there is a part of me who would selfishly not like for this “travel secret” to be exposed, I would highly recommend staying at this magical place.

This was the first vacation I went on where I rented an apartment in the caribbean, and it was a great experience - something I will definitely do again. We loved having a connection to locals and being able to get the owners' input on places to go and things to do while we were on Providenciales. The owners are very kind people and went well beyond our expectations in terms of answering our questions. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport in Providenciales, took us to the grocery store, provided us with a grill for cooking out, and even took us around the island one afternoon! The apartment is nice, is in a great location (5 minute walk to the best beach in the Turks and Caicos - Grace Bay Beach, and 5 - 10 minute walk from restaurants and shops), had a great porch area, and the complex has a nice pool. One of our friends loved Grace Bay Place so much that she stayed there last year and came back again this year. I liked staying there much more than staying in a hotel, and it was definitley an economical lodging option

If you are looking for the ultimate Caribbean relaxation vacation, look no further than Grace Bay Place on the balmy island of Providenciales in the Turk’s and Caicos.
Ideally situated in the heart of famous Grace Bay Beach, you can spend your days walking along the breathtaking beach - shopping at the nearby upscale malls or lounging by the pool with a drink and your favourite book.
Grace Bay Place is small enough that the owners and staff will know you by name before you arrive! They picked my husband and I up at the airport and soon they were guiding us all over their fabulous island all the while sharing their stories and passion for all things Provo.
The units are exceptionally well laid out, spacious and bright, and the island furnishings will make you feel like you stepped into a whole new world focused on helping you to unwind and just enjoy your time together.
We had a terrific time scouring for seashells on remote beaches, listening to wonderful local entertainers and feasting on amazing food. We even took a boat trip over to Middle Caicos and North Caicos with some friends to take part in the community social/model boat regatta it was a terrific day, one we will remember forever!
All in all Grace Bay Place has a special place in our hearts, it has limitless charm and offers very personal and friendly treatment, we’ll definitely keep going back for more!!

We recently got back from a vacation to Providenciales. We rented a 1 bedroom apartment at Grace Bay Place. It had all of the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, a TV and stereo system, air conditioning, a comfortable bed, attractive furnishings and a screened-in patio with a barbeque and a table and chairs. All the dishes, pots and pans, and linens were provided. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place, and the personal attention we received. We were picked up at the airport when we arrived and we were dropped off at the airport when it was time to leave. We only had to walk five minutes to get to a beautiful beach with white sand and turquoise water. This is a great vacation spot.

Thank you Doug for making our six week stay in your island a memorable one. We got more than we bargained for. We enjoyed our short daily walks to the best stretch of beach on Grace Bay, an absolutely beautiful spot. And it was particularly good to come back to the serenity and comfort of our one bedroom unit in Grace Bay Place.
Our accommodations were spotless and satisfied all our needs. We very much enjoyed the private patio overlooking the breezy pool area surrounded by palms. It was great!
Most of all, thank you for your thoughtfulness and quiet confidence. We'll be back!

Have you ever looked at the pictures in a travel magazine and admired the beaches but upon your arrival, wondered if it was the same place? Have you ever found a beach that was actually more beautiful than the picture? We did. It was Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The soft brown sugar sand, the warm gentle surf, the incredible blue of the water and the quiet uncrowded beaches beckon us to return time and time again.
Doug & Gail Wood added to our enjoyment by making us feel like old friends and many warm times were enjoyed around the lush pool in the complex where the barbeques were always on and the tropical drinks were plenty. The moon and stars seem so close on the late night strolls and rest and relaxation was our main mission. Its great to go somewhere thats safe and secure. Its also great when the accomodation is excellent and my wife who is a "clean Jean" is happy and longs to return. The Woods have a special place in Provo, and a special place in our hearts.Hope to see you all soon......
